Capturing The Moment

Pebble Beach is probably one of the most beautiful courses in existence and it can also be one of the most challenging, at least on certain holes. This piece captures the golfer hitting a long second shot on the par 5 and the caddie watches hoping that it will be enough. As golfers we have all said this after an approach shot and this piece is aptly titled.." Be Right" the painting is 12 x 24 in Oil and just recently sold at an art show in Palm Springs!

Green Ambitions

Impressions of the game. A critical shot, pressure putt, Wedge to win, and finally victory. These will be the types of images that i attempt to capture with my paintings. The impressions are the impressionistic style of painting that i use to capture such moments. I prefer this painterly approach versus the super detailed photographic paintings, because i feel that this style suggests a mood or emotion that photographic paintings cannot! I hope you enjoy these works as i create them and all of them are for sale unless otherwise noted in the post! thank you for looking and i always appreciate your comments. This first piece was entitled "Green Ambitions" and is a piece depicting a pga pro and his caddie trying to decide the best shot into this precarious green. The course you may recognize from the PGA championship at Whistling Straits. It was a par 5 hole that got many players in trouble but also helped those who could reach the green in two and so this painting is appropriately titled "Green Ambitions" I do have the original and giclee prints available of this work. the piece is 18 x 24 and is in Oil.
